Dr. Elissa Calapai, President and CMO of Cenegenics Boca Raton

Dr. Elissa Calapai is the President and Chief Medical Officer of Cenegenics Boca Raton, and has been a licensed Physician in Age Management Medicine since 2007. She holds a BS in Biology from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University: College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her post-graduate training included an internship at Miami Heart Institute and a residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic (FL and OH). From 2001 to 2005 Dr. Calapai practiced both office and hospital based Internal Medicine at North Broward Hospital District, and at Holy Cross Medical Group from 2005 to 2007. Her extensive experience and passion for helping patients transform their lives make Dr. Calapai a highly sought after age management doctor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nick A. Balestriere, NASM-CPT, ACE/ASPT-CPT

Nick has been the exercise and lifestyle counselors at Cenegenics Medical Institute of Boca Raton for 9 years. His primary role is exercise evaluation, diagnostic testing, and lifestyle counseling.

His certifications include: the National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Counsel on Exercise – Advanced Functional Trainer, International Sports Sciences Association, International Sports Medicine Association, as well as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Prior to becoming part of the Cenegenics family, he served as Director of Training for the largest personal training facility in southern New Jersey for 10 years. As the Director, he was responsible for keeping the Team members up to date on training information, techniques, nutrition trends, and the principles of biomechanics.

When he’s not in the office, Nick volunteers time to coach both seniors and youth on healthy lifestyle changes. He also instructs kickboxing, self-defense, and firearms, but most often you will find him in the garden or chasing his dogs.

 

 

 

 

Erika Johanson, Service Coordinator-Boca Ranton

Erika was born and raised in Duluth, MN.  In 1999 she relocated to Las Vegas, NV to evade the harsh MN winters.  Shortly after moving to Las Vegas she was hired by Cenegenics and had the pleasure of working with its founder Dr. Alan Mintz and many of the original team members.  She served in many varied capacities during her time in Las Vegas including Physician Affiliate Services Coordinator and Media coordinator.

In 2008 she transferred to the Boca Raton center to be closer to family in Florida.  After a brief sabbatical she rejoined the Boca team in 2014 and is focused on patient retention and error reduction.  She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Health Management.

In her personal time she enjoys sailing, scuba diving and hanging out with her 17 year old dog.
